SIX months...
have come and gone TOO quickly. I remember when I first got here and people thought I had been here for months (back home) when it had been a mere few weeks, and NOW I am at the six month milestone! Headed home in a few hours, and I couldn’t be more excited. While I LOVE living here and the people I am meeting, I am definitely looking forward to a Western break - even if it is ENTIRELY too...

– After Ben came dressed as Santa, Jamie told me this… they ALL were shy. Normally they are bouncing off the walls, but they were DEAD silent when he came in as Santa.

Applications are FINISHED. It feels great… now it is a waiting game. I have free time now that I haven’t had in months, and I don’t know what to do with it…
Going Native
It’s official - in addition to wearing sparkly things, bows and pom pom balls in my hair, and wearing lots of layers, I have gone and done it. I ate rice (well, a rice product) for breakfast. I have become obsessed with dok bok ki - which is a thick rice noodle - ever since I first tried it. Granted I am still eating it pretty plain because I don’t even know what that sauce is they...

Since it is almost Christmas, we are watching the Polar Express during video time - well, especially since I made the Cherries finish Kungfu Panda (because I really wanted to). Well, I wasn’t going to mention it, but I have had some unpleasant run-ins with Korean men. The old adjumas that like to touch me was one thing that at first freaked me out - but now I can laugh about. “Oh, silly adjuma.” However, I am not going to generalize or point fingers - because these run-ins are bound to happen anywhere, but HONESTLY...

– Oh yeah, I rarely act my age. On Wednesday when Aaron INSISTED on repeating everything I said and did (expressions nailed to the T) I decided to have fun with this game.
